60 days or 90 days? (Locked in rate)

I'm anticipating taking ED on a 335i. The current promotion is $2,500 credit plus whatever apr. I know once you sign on the dotted line (take delivery), you're locked in. With ED, I can buy some time. Probably more than 60 days. I'll know for sure when I contact my dealer tomorrow.

So here's my question. How long can you lock in the promotion? The boards are telling me 90 days. My dealer said 60 days. So which is it? I'll be calling BMW USA tomorrow, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Don't know if this makes a difference, but the delaer and my residence is in NJ.

Thanks.

Just got off the phone with the dealer. She said definitely 60 days.

Although now I have another curve ball. That promotion is for 2010 models. If I order the 335i coupe on January 3 with ED delivery in first week of March, wouldn't that be considered a 2011 model? If so, then I won't qualify for the promotion.

If you have not ordered your car yet, then yes it will be a 2011 model. The window has closed for ordering 2010 models.

Kind of a two part question. So if my rate is locked in at 4.9 with the 2500.00, if the interest gets lowered to lets say 2.5% can I get the better rate and still keep my 2500.00 holiday money ?

I only ask this because, I will be getting my car in late feb early march and if the 2011 or around the corner I assume they may drop the 4.9 to something lower to get rid of them before the 2011s are in.

Yup, you'd get the better rate and still get to keep the holiday credit.

I dont think that is true b/c the holiday cash is tied into the APR for that promotion. You can take the better promo deal when you sign the papers but you cant pick and choose from two different promotions.
