i've never been able to get my tips completely cleaned of that burned on crap. I've used a clay bay, #0000 steel wool, and P21S metal cleaner. Makes everything else look amazing but i just can't get the tips 100%.

I use this too, but the stock 2009+ pipes aren't chrome. Pretty sure it's aluminum, since the metal is matte. Eagle One is a good brand, and it's like $4 in any auto parts store. Should last you forever just using it to clean tips.

Interesting, that tube looks almost identical to the P21s product. Wonder if it's the same stuff.

I used it often to polish the pipes on my old bike. Worked well, no swirl marks, and easy to apply / remove. I'll probably try it on my tips when the weather gets a bit warmer.

This may seem weird, but I tried Easy-Off oven cleaner thinking that it might do the trick...it was ineffective... I'll be trying some of the remedies listed above.

I've been using Autosol for years and finds it works great, just cleaned up my tips yesterday after a carwash.

If you are already trying with a good chrome polisher and cloth, try switching to 0000 steel wool.

To echo a few things already mentioned, I've used both Mother's Chrome Polish + #0000 steel wool and Nevr-Dull successfully. Both are easy to use and just require a little elbow grease to get everything off.

I had success this weekend using Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish and buffing with #0000 steel wool.
