how does this deal sound?
Hey guys, i'm on a 2007 IS250 lease, with 3 payments of ~$500 left
I called up a local BMW dealership, got a 2009 Alpine White 335i with sport/premium/navi on the select financing program for $680 a month for 5 years, a 15k balloon payment and they are paying off the lexus (not rolling it in to the price of the new car .. or so they say) does this sound like a good deal? I'm putting 0 down |

So you're doing BMW Select? What was your final negotiated price?
That sounds high for 5 years, in my opinion. Go down to the dealer and speak to someone directly, you'll never get a good deal by phone unless you have an established relationship with your CA.

Is there any particular reason why you couldn't wait for three months until your current lease is up? Seems that your negotiating leverage would be stronger (and you could get an even better price) if the dealer didn't have to pay the remaining $1500 on your lease.

so your paying $680/ month for 5 years plus $15000 ballon and you owe 1500 on your car.
Your paying $40,800 plus the $15000 ballon payment - $55,800 for the car and thats including the $1500 they are paying your lease. That sounds high for the car. I optioned out a 335xi with all your features plus logic 7 sound, comfoort, Sirius radio and its only $52500. Check the numbers again. Doesnt sound like such agood deal |

Who knows what the lease rate/his credit is. Without the money factor and/or final price it's hard to tell if it's a "good" deal. It might be for *you* and not for someone else.

mkato13: $52500 if you pay cash on the spot ... if you finance at 4.9% you'll be at 59300.18 for that car you mentioned...and thats assuming you got it for 52500 out the door
200Duece: i've been doing some research and calculations, it seems like i'm getting a decent deal, just wondering if anyone out there has done better UPDATE: its a 49,500 car they discounted to $47000 even plus tax/title/reg, so I'm trying to negotiate down to $650 a month keeping everything else the same...i think they can do it |
