Huge gap, zero ground clearance and they must ride very stiff. OTOH, you won't have to worry about sidewall bubbles.

The design looks nice, I dig it. Are the wheels cast or forged?

Yep. Sharp eyes will even notice the unique color of the M3 those are being tested on as the VF Engineering Project car that is a work in progress.

I think he was commenting on the wheels, though.

Not to discount your opinion, which we value, but people shopping for 18's are the vaaast minority. 19's outsell 18's 5 to 1, 20's outsell 18's 2 to 1.

I'm not sure that I can agree with that. I live in the capitol of dubs but seldom see a 3 (or 5 series) with a 19" or larger. Escalades, any Impala/Malibu, older Cadillac, any Honda or Nissan are frequently seen with dubs or larger but the only BMW that I've seen with 20's has been a 7 series.

I live in California, the capital of modding cars, and I sell XX Vorsteiner hoods a week. Doesn't mean I ever see one on the road (Maybe once a month).... Not sure what your point is? Just because you don't see it on the road doesn't negate the hard data - and the hard data dictates what the manufacturers produce.

19 + = Looks over performance.
18's = performance

This is just my opinion. Wheel weight is very important to me. Maintaining the correct diameter is also very important to me. Wider tires are important to me also. Keeping that in mind i would pay a premium for 18 's in the widest width i can over oversized 19's.

I understand where you are coming for since a very high number of car owners value looks more and are willing to pay vs us performance types
