Ok to apply zaino z-10 in cold weather?

Ok, so I recently got a new to me 06 330i with black leather. It looks like it needs some good leather conditioner. Based on info here, Zaino sounds like the one. Any one ever try a first time application to leather that really needs it in cold, below freezing weather? Any experiences and / or tips greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I think it will be OK, but I'd recommend warming up the inside of the car (real warm) before conditioning it and then warm it up again a few times after while it is soaking in and drying. Z10 is great stuff...

Agreed with the above. Don't think you'll do any harm by applying it cold, but might as well warm up the car and the leather.

Good to hear. I was just concerned that the drying time would extend in a major way and / or it would not absorb at all. I guess I'll just look forward to listening to that I6 idle for awhile

I don't think you will, but if you do have a problem with it drying, you can always go over it with a dry MF towel. Z10 won't leave it very wet for very long anyhow as long as you don't put it on too heavily.

If you have them, and you are indeed brave enough to work on your car in freezing weather, turn your seat heaters to maximum as well. The heat will assist in letting the product absorb into the leather. Also, if this is the first time you're conditioning the seats, you should probably use Z9 first to clean them.

Thanks for the info. I placed the order today, and I also added a bottle of the z9. I am very much looking forward to seeing what it will do.

So, I cleaned the leather using Z-9 and I applied the Z-10 when it was approx. 27 F outside. I drove the car for approx 30 min to warm up the interior (way home) and I left it idle while I cleaned and applied. Went on well and appeared to dry well. I left it sit for about 15 hours in the garage (NOT idling) before getting back in and I did have to use a towel to remove some excess. The excess may be a result of me applying it too thick and not a result of the temperature hampering its drying. This was my first time using Z-10, and my leather was really in need of some conditioning! That being said, I used the stuff liberally. After a light buff, the leather looks, feels, and smells great. Thanks to all on previous posts who wrote how good this stuff was. I'm very happy with the purchase!

Oops, sorry for the double post. I forgot to mention how well the Z-9 / Z-10 combo worked on the steering wheel. Feels and looks better than brand new. Not greasy, slippery or slimy. Just a moist and quality feel. I'd actually say the surface of the steering wheel has more grip now than before the application.
