Caring after SupaGard
Had my car SupaGard'd couple of months back (not from BMW, but got the stuff myself and did it ).
It does say no need to polish the car for 3 years but what ive noticed in the past is if i dont polish the car it seems to catch dirt a lot faster, rain doesnt seem to glide off as it would do if i had waxed it etc. Is there something i could do when/after i wash my car or is the expected results after supagarding the car? Thanks |

You would have been better off investing in a some good quality wax/sealant.
Supagard et al is crap IMO! My M3 was done FOC by the dealer and even the rain did not bead off properly the very day I picked it up! It has now had 3 coats of DoDo Juice 'Light Fantastic' carnuba based wax and the water literally sheets off it. I keep it topped up every couple of months with another light coat on. |

3 years - can't believe that tbh!
Ask any detailer and they will advise to wax the car at least once a fortnight if possible and that's after a full detail. There's no such thing as a 'quick fix' imo for a long lasting effect. Bit like bloody decorating, it's all in the preparation. I'm a convert to snowfoaming as well now. Makes the car much easier to wash/dry afterwards. |

I usually use Elite Snow foam (http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/elite-...am-5-litre.php), then wash the car, drying it and finally adding some wax.

Supa Guard = Snake Oil. Exactly the same thing.

Yep- had a bro in-law in the car cleaning business, he used to take good money off owners for this sort of stuff, it’s good for about 6 weeks, based on washing once a week The three stage kit cost the trade about £40, they charge in the region of £350 for a 3 series sized car.
As said save your money and apply good quality wax regularly |
