Anyone get a 2010 335 sport or msport with Michelins?
My new car arrived a couple days ago and I just went to go look @ it. Of course Bridgestone RE050 RFT.
![]() I asked the dealer to swap rims and/or tires with another car that had Michelins and naturally they were not happy to oblige. We looked @ several MSports they had in their inventory and all were Bridgestones. Then we looked at just about every 335 sport (quite a few cars, 2009 and 2010) and couldn't find a single car with PS2's. Boy were they happy. obviously I'll just take the car but man this blows. 140 treadwear rating and what I know will be a noisy ride once these RE050's wear past 1/2 way. I guess I just look forward to replacing them with Michelins in a year or so. Any comments? |

I was in the exact same situation a few weeks ago when I was picking up my car. I made sure the salesman found me a set. Amazing what a good bottle of scotch will get you. I love the Michelins.

I have 193Ms on my 335d, because I specifically made sure that the CA knew I would not accept my car without PS2 ZPs. As it turned out, the only ones they had on the lot were on an M Sport 335i Coupe, so they swapped out my rims and tires with the coupe, and now I have what I wanted and then some.

The PS2's won't last any longer. I have 2800 miles on mine and I am half way through the rears. My bud gets 10k miles out of them on his Cayman S.

My first 335 had Bridgestones, and my current car has the Michelins. The Michelins are so good, I thought my car was delivered w/ non-runflats!!!
As far as wear is concerned, mine have almost none at 5k miles. I guess it depends on the driver ![]() |

Pirelli Run Flats
I saw a car on the dealer lot with Pirelli P-Zero run-flats. 2010 335i conv. with 225/35-19 255/30-19 's .

Well, if you really want the Michies you can always sell the Bridgestones as soon as you get the car and recoupe a decent portion of the cost. There are lots of folks who would scoop them up at the right price.
