Getting my first car within the next 30 days... came across this car on craigslist : http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/cto/1488542568.html

Get a vin # and have someone check the car fax for you. Once you get that done ask the person to allow you to take the car to a mechanic that YOU feel comfortable with so that they can check out some things that you may not even think to check for. Also, see if they kept service records ect.

Its a salvage title car. If you're comfortable with that, depending on the damage (if any), then go for it. But, I think it's priced too high for salvage, $18-20k would be better.

Which is why I said I doubt it. I am not sure though, but anything "Salvage" has no more warranty <http://www.edmunds.com/advice/warranties/articles/153526/article.html>

Unless, there is no specific that said this is a "Salvage title" and only a "Theft Recovery". Some states group them under the same "Salvage" category for accidents/theft/flood etc that declares a vehicle total loss.

Yes, because if something goes wrong i dont think your going to want to pay "BMW tax" I.e. $1200 for new brake pads.
