Where to get these quad exhaust trim pieces?
I'm thinking of going with a quad exhaust but I'd like to keep my stock bumper and not add a diffuser. I found this Alpina 3 and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to find the 2 trim pieces that I can add to my rear bumper after cutting it for the quad tips. I think it would make for a very nice OEM-looking quad mod...

Thanks for the bump. I think they'd look great too. I like the idea of OEM-looking quads. Well, if I do go with quads it'll be from Nick at AE Performance as I already have a regular dual exhaust from him which I absolutely love. I'm thinking of just getting the quad section 3s if Nick will be kind enough to do that for me....

The only thing that is stopping me from getting a quad exhaust is the bumper cutting part. But those trim pieces are killer. If i could get them i would do the exhaust.

Good question! Adding an extra couple of pipes to a 335i/d SE bumper with minimal disruption to the OEM look is a great idea. The closest thing I've seen so far is the Bastuck rear quads and diffuser but the pics you have posted possibly look slightly better
The problem is finding the right combination though as there's no point finding the perfect exhaust if it doesn't fit the splitter you want or vice versa. The Supersprint and Eisenmann options look and sound ok but to me are way overpriced. The Bastuck combo is still top of my list but I'm subscribed to see if you can come up with a better alternative! |

If anything, it would probably cost an arm and a leg.

I'm sure - but they're small pieces so maybe it won't be too bad. Maybe we could get one of our CF/Plastics manufacturers to make them if we have enough interest - like Carbon 8 for example...

I recently saw an e92 with quads at a nearby mall that had extremely similar trim pieces. Curious, I looked closer and turns out (in his case) they were just rubber. I believe his username on here is Yinger. He'll probably be able to help you out with it, but I'm guessing it's just rubber trim attached on by a body shop.

Yeah, I thought about just using some generic rubber trim but I'd really like something that looks better like those pieces on the Alpina 3. I've been busy with the holiday season but I'll get back on this in a few days.
