Shopping For New Car, Help On Decision...
so me and my dad were shopping around today to buy my mom a new car. this was great cause i got out of the house and got away from the stresses im having as some of you guys know . anyhow we broke it down to a few models that i am really impressed with as well.
as for criteria the car just needs to be reliable and will be a daily driver and it must be AWD w/ 4 doors. below is a basic layout with MSRP pricing, although when we buy the car it will be less then that of course . all the cars are optioned pretty loaded. right now the g37 is really catching from pricing to specs. of course i would love to stick with the bmw family no doubt but looking at it shit its not bad and it an infinity (japanese ). i know the ex35 is random but my mom is comming from a acura rdx so im just throwing that in there although she wants a sedan. i was looking at the q5 cuase the x3 blows big ass, although there is supposed to be a new one comming out. but damn the q5 is expensive and i don't know about audi's way of configuring cars from the start im conflicted with this standard, premium, and prestige bs. my mom and rest of family hate the new acura design so those are out of the picture. any ideas, feedback, recommendations? much appreciated. thanks. 328xi Sedan: HP: 230 TQ: 200 MPG City/Highway: 17/25 MSRP Price W/ Options: $45,640 -Metallic Paint -Leather -Cold Package -Premium Package -Auto W/ Paddle -Navigation -Xenon -CA -Sport Package G37 Sedan AWD: HP: 328 TQ: 269 MPG City/Highway: 18/25 MSRP Price W/ Options: $43,265 -Technology -Premium -Sport -Navigation IS250 AWD: HP: 204 TQ: 185 MPG City/Highway: 20/26 MSRP Price W/ Options: $40,655 -HDD Navigation Package (Only other package available then the xenon lights so this has everything in it making it fully loaded) EX35 Journey AWD: HP: 297 TQ: 253 MPG City/Highway: 16/23 MSRP Price W/ Options: $43,015 -Technology -Navigation -Premium Other: TL AWD: HP: 305 TQ: 273 MPG City/Highway: 17/25 MSRP Price W/ Options: $43,195 -Technology Package (Got all the good stuff, navigation, etc) Genesis Sedan: HP: 290 TQ: 264 MPG City/Highway: 18/27 MSRP Price W/ Options: $41,800 -Premium -Technology C300: HP: 228 TQ: 221 MPG City/Highway: 18/25 MSRP Price W/ Options: $46,835 -AWD -Premium 2 -Multimedia Other (Please Specify):

Frankly, it would have being interesting to know what she drove before.
I have the impression that the 328 wouldn't be luxobarge enough for her tastes. An ES350 would be better all around. With ESP and winter tires, she don't need AWD. don't assume one minute that AWD is a substitute for winter tires. How about a CTS4 or MKS? |

G37, not just because it has the best power and price for performance, but Nissan makes one of the best AWD systems on the market and a crap load of gagets if ur mom is into that stuff.. Nav and all the gizmos blows bmw away. and it's got good relialibility unlike the germans.. easy pick if u ask me as a total package compare to all the ones listed

coming from an infiniti g35c, I have nothing but good stuff to say about that car. Best sounding stock muffler I've ever heard on a car. Interior is beautifullly done and power is great. Stability and traction control is excellent, but the BMW is a little better.
