2009: Your opinions, experiances !
So 2009 is almost over and its time to welcome 2010 with open hands
Post up anything that has happened to you this year that was good, bad, amazing, beautiful......anything pretty much, Pros, cons of 2009 ect. My year in general pretty much sucked. I didn't achieve any of the goals i set out to achieve when the new year begun, i wanted to get a job so i could support myself and get a car and all and it didn't happen. Didn't do anything that was amazing or memorable, did go to a lot of canyon runs though.......ohh yea and thats not happening anymore. Got invited to a prom, turned her down cause didn't really like her that much. hooked up couple of times here and there and thats about it. On the bright side though, i met a lot of cool people that i consider some of my best friends. Got my license, still no car though thats all i can remember right now so if your posts remind me of something i ll post them up as the thread goes along Last edited by Bimmer Nerd; 12-27-2009 at 03:02 AM.. |

Probably my worst year ever. Apparently my sister told me I was in year 4 or was it 5? (whatever the shit year is) Some Numerology BS, she's a weirdo.

The Good
Promotion at work. Went to California for the first time this year in my life (Twice) LA & San Francisco and both were free! Met an amazing guy who turned into a LTR boyfriend. Probably the worst experience was getting forced into a car in Vegas by strangers while attending MFest. |

2009 sucked for me in everyway possible. Not a single good thing happened to me. The only positive thing for me in 2009 is I didn't die...which is probably a bad thing now that I think of it. The way I see it, there is just no way 2010 can suck more.

Compared to 2008, 2009 promised to be a continuity of bad things and in the end, it is a BIG relief . 2009 was a good year to us. Our company thrived, bettering the forecasts by 30% fiscal YTD and I have no back log at the plant I run. Nobody died in the family and we have quite a list of elderly persons (high '80s, 90s), ALL the investments losses of 2008 were recovered in the last 6 months. I lost 28 pounds and feels more alert than ever. So can't complain here.

Too many changes this year.
My first child was born. Day after that I was laid off. Started my own business then got a new job. Wife finished school. Oh yeah, I turned 30. Had a badass birthday thanks to the wifey. |

2009 was an up and down year...but overall was on the positive side for me.
Positives: -bought an M3 -good investment returns -got to play golf almost every weekend -met an amazing girl who is now my G/F. Negatives: -more responsibility at work (ok though, makes me a better person in the long term) -no raise or bonus this year -school loans suck as is the interest they charge on them -Obama and the rest of his clueless cabinet in the white house In the end, I am extremely happy to be alive and enjoying life. You have to take the good with the bad, as that is what life is all about. Ultimately I am happy to be me, happy to awake everyday, earn an honest day's pay, and spend time with the people who matter most in my life. The rest is conversation. I wish you all the very best in 2010!

2009 was a year full of transition for me. Nothing too good or bad happened to me. Well nothing big enough for me to really recall on top of my head. Most stressful work year I've had so far. I've semi finished with college and have begun working full time at my company. The strongest feeling I have for this year is realizing my youth is ending. I kind of feel like I wasted half the year away. I kept myself busy but feels like I just skimmed through most of this year. I'm used to things now but I do miss school though(more so the lifestyle). Strange year... As much as I hate to see time pass me by, I can't to see what 2010 will bring.
Edit: Just thought of a good thing that happened. Got my 335i this year. |

This. Year. Sucked.
Bad: • My wife's mother killed herself, then her step-mom died suddenly. • Then a very close family friend died right after that. • One of wife's sisters is bi-polar crazy, literally. Worse this year than ever. • Her siblings are all fighting over inheritance and it is DISGUSTING. I have never been so literally sickened by people's behavior. • Oh, and my wife and I have been doing EVERYTHING for the estate, she has 4 siblings and not one lifts a finger to help out with any of the rental units or anything. • Business is at about 70% of what it normally is. • Found out we would take a 50K loss if we sold our vacation home. • I turned 29, too close to 30. Good: • Keeping our vacation home, lol. • Got a GREAT deal on a new primary residence house. (Bad for the divorcing short sale people on the other end though.) • Got the E93 • Parents are the coolest people ever, and healthy • My 16-year-old dog (who I got when I was only 14) is still alive and kicking! • Wife and I are healthy and happy and have proven we can make it through ANYTHING together! But basically, this year sucked for me. Blaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh.
