Please recommend a good body shop for *E46*

Hey guys,

Apologies for not posting in the right place -- I know this is an E9x forum, but it's taking forever for my registration on E46fanatics to go through and figured I'd ask this question on M3post and here anyway.

My girlfriend drives an '03 E46 325i and her driver-side window is starting to act up. Apparently, this is a somewhat common occurrence in those cars that involves the window regulator. Can anyone here recommend a good body shop in the Socal area that has experience with this repair, would likely have the parts on hand, and won't charge an arm and a leg for the work? Maybe AutoTalent?

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't sound like any body work is required. Anyone with tools and knows what they're doing, along with the right replacement part would be able to fix it.

Hey longtran,

Thanks for the offer. I only ever hear your named tossed around the California forums with nothing but respect.

That said, I don't know what part number needs replacing. People on the E46 forums refer to the window "regulator" as a recurring problem on these cars, but there's no reference to such a part here:

I'm also not sure if it's the regulator problem at all, or something else entirely. I was hoping that I could take it to a shop that was familiar with the E46 and this issue specifically. If you have any other insight, I'd love to hear it. I'll also try AutoTalent to see if they've seen this problem before. Is there anyone specifically I should ask for over there?
