Chipped Windscreen! Doh!

God damn it, just installed my blacklines, cleaned the car, took it for a spin and on the way back down the motorway I get a bit old stone fly up and hit the passenger side. I used rather a few expletives and scared everone else in the car with my anger...

After I calmed down the first name that came to mind was autoglass, a wise choice or anyone else had dealings with better companies?

My insurance are dicks and I can't find the paperwork at the moment but I suspect they will charge me loads for a windscreen claim. Once when I wanted to add on 2000 business miles they charged me £80!

It's not that big a deal mate. £50-100 you're looking at. Get her done.

Sounds like they will be able to repair it and by some minor miracle repairs are covered for free by my insurance.

Got it booked in on Wednesday.

p.s. £100 might not be much but it's a quarter off my remap saving fund :-)

maybe we should start our own donation thread haha.

(glad it's not just me that's got a fund going - trouble is I keep spending it on visible mods, when the remap should actually take priority!)

also from experience, dont just phone Autoglass or whoever. Make sure you call your insurers and make sure they organise the fitter.

I didnt once, and my insurer was refusing to pay my fitter as he was not on their approved list. it was a pain in the cock.

Indeed, well pointed out Rooter. Insurers and unapproved repairs will be a right pain in the cock as you've found out.

You were lucky to get reimbursed I think!
