![]() In 2002 my family purchased a 1986 M-998 Military Issued HUMVEE. We have absolutely loved it since the day we got it and really enjoyed restoring it over the years. We have practically restored/replaced the vast majority of the vehicle adding up to $27,000 worth of restorations and modifications to date. However, over the past 2 years, no one in the family drives it and has slowly become just another vehicle in the driveway. This vehicle is extremely rare. It is one of the absolute greatest cars I have driven and is an extreme head turner like no other. Here is a list of the Major restorations and modifications we have had done over the years. All documents, repair orders, and invoices are documented and have in our possession. Also, all work on the vehicle has been done by professional, qualified HUMVEE mechanics. ’94 H1 6.2l Engine ** Only 9,132 miles Rebuilt transmission ** Only 9,132 miles New Rotors and Pads New Front Brake Lines Rethreaded Front Differential holes Replaced seals and left front axle boot New glow plug fuel control module and wire harness New Cooling fan studs New Water Pump and Front cover gasket New bypass hoses New Fuel Pump New Oil pan Gasket kit for intake New Temperature Sensor New Halfshaft ASM Front & Rear New Toggle Switch New Starting System Combo Kit 4 man Soft Top Camo Kit New Exhaust Manifold Replaced Generator New Idler Arm New Pitman Arm 2 New Batteries ** Over $27k of restorations and modifications since purchased ** Only 9,132 Miles on Engine and Transmission Looking to get $38,500 Please PM me for any questions and inquires. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

civilians love hummers, and its the same reason they love shooting M4s and wearing camo and all that; because its lets themselves feel gung ho and military killer like without all the drawbacks. just makes us old army guys laugh.
its no knock on your hummer even. i laugh because everyone thinks the american army has such great gear, and it's really quite the opposite. when i joined the army, i was wearing body armor from vietnam, and wearing basically the gear issued during nam as well. we just recently got all the new fancy gear, which is still made by the lowest bidder. again sorry op, bump for you... ![]() |
