Canon 400D DSLR

Hi guys... it was new years and i decided to take a few shots of the street and my camera fell off from my tripod... Right now the edge of the camera is a bit dented and the pictures i take turns out to be over exposed.. I live in Vancouver, B.C. anyone know a place I can take it to repair or warranty??

Can't help you in Vancouver, but I would weigh the cost of repair vs. getting a new camera, you'd be surprised how quickly the repair costs get out of control.

I dropped one of my lens and took it canon. They looked at and I was advised to buy a new one over trying to repair it. See what a local shop says, but you can get some used ones for a decent price.

Nothing is really broken on mine, but its just that the picture color turns out weird, and there is a small dent on my camera that I wanna get it fixed.

Yeah, nothing really broken, except you may have damaged then image processor inside which is the most expensive part of the camera.

your photos are different after the fall? it's not really clear what you are saying here.

if your photos have changed after the camera fell, fixing it will be too expensive. most repair shops, including canon's, will charge $80-100/hr to fix a camera and after two hours, plus shipping, you might as well buy a new camera.

the t1i has been on sale during boxing day, it's a decent replacement and you can use the same lens, assumeing it wasn't damaged.

Ya it might just be the lightning.. I am not too sure if it is really color change after the fall, I'll take a few more pics just to be sure. But what I really do wanna know is, if there is no noticeable difference in the picture quality, does that mean it is fine? Cos I heard stories about DSLR being fragile because of its complexity... So would there by any alignment/focus damage or anything like that I need to be concerned of?

Give Kerrisdale Camera a call or even London Drugs has a pretty fair camera department.
