19x8.5 tyre required
Hi,
I am in the process of purchasing a set of 19" wheels wide & narrow. 19x8.5 FR & 19x9.5 RR both are ET35. The std tyre setup I've noticed is 235/35/19 & 265/30/19. However the dealer has told me that the 8.5j front rim is too wide for the 235 tyre & a bigger tyre is required. It is said that the lip of the rim protudes pass the rim protector of the tyre. This does not make sense to me because if "a" 8.5j wide rim fits on a 235 tyre then shouldn't all. Does lip design have anything to do with it. The dealer has recomended 265/30/19 in the front & 275/30/19 in the rear. Will this setup work, will it rub? I plan on lowering using Eibach Pro Please help!!!! |
