Vancouver people: Time to take off the winter tires?

It barely snowed this winter, and the 14 day weather forecast shows no sign of snow. Are any of you guys going to switch back to your regular (all-season or summer) tires?

I think it might just snow once or twice between now and February. Just light ones, nothing my all-seasons can't handle... so I think I'll take them off this weekend if the forecast continues this trend.

Although no snow is in the immediate forcast, the cold weather will continue... meaning the all-season tires won't perform well. Proper winter tires maintain their flexibility and grip in cold weather, whereas the all-seasons won't do as well.

I've lived in Vancouver all my life and I've seen snow as late as early April... although I'll switch back to all-season in early March as the outside temps become warmer.

Someone put some on? Im running the stock all seasons, I dont think its gonna snow that bad if at all. Snows are definitely a good idea but I think here in VCR, its not gonna get any worse than a little frosty.

Only last year was it stupid snow, I had a different car and was lowered and could drive as I was plowin snow. Thank goodness for my brother! haha

Snow in Vancouver usually doesnt happen til late Jan, even early Feb. Not counting last year of course.

Also, snow or not it certainly gets cold enough to justify a winter compound.

Excellent point, they are called WINTER tires not snow tires.
It was like -1 when I left for work this morning in my work truck an as usual I'm slipping and sliding on black ice.........

Mine will stay on until probably March......

You really got to love 10c temps for this time of year but I think it's too early to ditch the winter tires. I would wait until end of March to be safe because sometimes we get snow in Feb/March.

Same here, no winters. Vancouver winters are usually mild and wet so you don't need winter tires but I love how all the tire shops are flooded and sold out of winter tires when there's even a 10% chance of a wet flurry in the forecast, lol.
