Playing DVD's

Ok, this is a serious n00b question but... Can you play DVD videos on the idrive?

MY 2010 with idrive plays them. I keep Van WIlder in my car for days when I get to work really early and watch 20 mins of it. Great feature thats not needed. Plays copied DVDs too

2007-2008 iDrive (CCC): No DVD playback capabilities
2009+ iDrive (CiC) in-dash DVD playback capabilities

Yes only in park and sound only if youre flooring it.

Its a good time waster when trying to kill time. You have to be parked tho, once you start moving the video will cut out but the audio will still play.

seems stupid to have the audio still play with no video. Should just switch to radi or something.
