Some help with tint/the law.

I was wondering whats the deal on tinted tail/head lights?
I know its illegal if the tail lights can be seen within 1000 feet, and the head light tint is illegal.

The question is, how many of you guys have them? Are the cops really (for lack of a better word) anal about the tint?

I was thinking 20% in the back and just slightly smoked in the front.
Also i was going to get it on ebay.

Do it and see how you like it, if it looks bad take it off. Its not that expensive of a mod, or better yet, get someone to photoshop it for you.

There's some threads out there with people tinting/painting there tail lights... check this out and look at all the cars (mines on the last page)
