BMW Assist Issue

Just spoke to my dealer, I had a 335i on the Manon that docked two weeks ago and it's still stuck at the VPC. He found out that there is some sort of problem with the BMW assist system relating to the SOS light. He also told me that a number of vehicles were stuck there at the moment - anyone else hear anything about this?

not sure if anyone is having the same problem, but I just received an update that the VPC has "run out of parts" to fix the issue and can't provide a future date when the fix will be made. with that said, the dealer has asked that my car be pushed to the front of the line, but flat out stated that he wasn't aware if the VPC actually honored that request.

at this point, my deposit is refundable as of monday 10/30, so im thinking about taking it and waiting until spring for other options.

I guess the VPC is the last line of defense for BMW and to repair and issues that may come along. The SOS is not a big deal and I intent on not renewing mine since I get signal sometimes and if I get in an accident in the wrong part of town it won't work. I also live on an island so easy to steal the car but not go anywhere with it.

exactly - at this point i wish they could just deliver the car and ship the parts to my dealer to make the fix at a later date.
