Can you guys confirm re TPS? Winter wheels question

I know it's probably been talked about already, but I need an answer fast, so I can order my winter tires

Are there any sensors on the rims or inside the tire....or is there anything I have to disconnect before I throw winter tires on my E90?

Will my tire pressure warning still function?
Oh and do u reccomend aluminum or steel rims for winter?

unless you have an 07 model year car, then you have the in-wheel pressure sensors that will need to be put in the winter wheels, that is unless you dont mind the light on all winter

Tough to find 17" steels... and there aren't any 16" wheels that fit over the brake rotors that I am aware of.

The package at tirerack was quite reasonable.

I think you have this backwards. 07 model 335i coupes *do* have sensors. 06 E90's do not. 07 335i sedans could come either way, have to check case by case, but most have been non-sensor cars.

But note , your in Canada, so no sensors either way no matter what car you have. Switch wheels and tires as a set and don't worry about it!
