EXHAUST SYSTEMS with Pics!
Hey guys,
I'm looking forward to changing my stock 335i exhaust system into something more aggressive. I'm looking for that deep, mean resonating tone on low RPMs, normal OEM sound on cruising (highway) and aggressive racing sound on high RPMs Quad Tips are way preferable because I'm going to install the VRS Type II Diffuser I'm going to buy the DINAN 3 Signature package but I decided to buy everything included in the package except the exhaust because I don't know if it sounds the way I want it to in real life but the DINAN exhaust videos that I've seen around weren't that attractive unless you guys can correct me with some other vids... I listened to and went through an entire list of exhausts, including: - Active Autowerke - AMS - Autobahn - Bastuck - BMW Performance - Britalman - Corsa - DINAN - Eisenmann - Racing Dynamics - Remus - RennArt - Supersprint - Vanguard Most of them sounded dull and boring, except for those 2 which I found distinctive: *AMS Performance Exhaust *Eisenmann Race Exhaust AMS Performance Exhaust: Eisenmann Race Exhaust: BMW Performance Exhaust (Sorry haven't found much): However, I insist on the "deep resonating tone on low RPMs, normal OEM sound on cruising (highway) and aggressive racing sound on high RPMs" specs! It's worth noting that Eisenmann is the only one that comes with a beautiful set of Quad tips... But if another Exhaust system doesn't come with quads but has the specs closest to what I want, I'm willing to sacrifice that and order Hartge quads and weld them. Any suggestions guys? AMS? Eisenmann? or BMW Performance? or another one? |

Besides, what's also hot is that it's fairly priced and it's just hot because ti's a Genuine German made BMW product! Thanks for your great video it was really helpful!! (Btw how did you post that Youtube vid? I always paste the link in the small Youtube logo in the advanced reply section but it never appears! ) I think I will mate! +1 |

Guys, I think I made up my mind here...
I'm going straight for the BMW Performance because it matches my needs for the Exhaust System - It sounds great at idle and has this deep V8-like tone at low RPMs - It seems like it growls pretty insanely when you push it to the limits - Stays within the sound credibility of a Twin-Turbo charged 335i which is pretty genuine - It's an OEM Bavarian product and FAIRLY priced! I think the Eisenmann Race Exhaust is a bit exaggerated in terms of loudness, doesn't sound and perform as hot as the BMW Performance Exhaust and is overpriced comparing to it! |

However, the only thing that's missing for me are the quad tips.
So I'm looking forward to buying those Hartge Quads from JleviSW: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=340046 And I was thinking whether they would fit on the BMW Performance Exhaust, looks like someone has already done it! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...e+exhaust+quad I've finally solved my Exhaust Decision Making after so much research and Youtubing and I'm fully convinced with this setup!! Right above Vanguard... The last listing. Quote:
Hehe just kidding ... Anyways Supersprint sounds alright but it's very expensive and those quads are just TOO damn big ... Reminds me of that kinda thing: |

OP,
Great decision. I would definitely go with the BMW PE. I also like the Vanguard, but want everything OEM. I wouldn't consider any performance part that wasn't OEM. I may be in the minority here, and I realize there are lots of performance upgrades that are not OEM and are of quality build, but not for me. I may be getting mine installed by next week!

Please keep me updated as soon as you install it so I can view you photos/videos and hear your review about it! What are you talking about? Well I dunno maybe the videos are not too clear sometimes... Depends on the Camera Type and Mic positions and Recording quality... Too many factors in play but at a glance, it didn't impress me much I dunno... Quote:
Seems like the product isn't real popular or its marketing is just weak. Where is it made from? I'll watch your video as soon as I get back home because I'm in Thermodynamics class right now... Yup, that's how much I'm addicted to the forum Quote:
What's the difference? Quote:
However, BMW Performance Exhaust is still sex to my ears |
