My friends ended up doing pretty darn well at Eurotuner GP 2009. Here is the video of the quest:

I think I might take my Audi A4 to them for some slight tweaking...btw the engine is a VR6 engine out of a VW.

1:57 at Buttonwillow is not too shabby......although there are a handful of Evos, an S2000, and an Elise that have gone faster on Street tires.....!

Any idea what the final times were for the Eurotuner shootout? All I can find is that Christian did a 1:57, which was 3s faster than 2nd place, and Billy did a 2:03.1 in a C63 which was good for 3rd place.

No...I just know that nate posted that video of their experience this year. The magazine hasnt released this article yet, right?

anything around or under 2:00 on street tires at Buttonwillow #13CW is quite a feat. That is indeed a very small club at this point in time.

awesome vid and an excellent performance by 034EFI. a 1:57 @ Buttonwillow on street tires is no easy feat!

...a few questions though:
1) what is the approx. weight of the car in its time attack setup?
2) i noticed they swapped in a smaller GT35R turbo for the time attack session - how much boost were they running during the time attack, and approx. how much power was it making?

sorry if these questions were answered in the video, but i'm watching it here at work and have to leave it on mute.

Forget where I read it, but they were around 550whp for the time trial.

Yeah...they were down to about 500 whp for the time trial...I dont know the boost numbers though. I wonder what that car could have done with some Hoosiers...in 265 or 275 width?

Cool video and impressive showing for 034. Just read the article in the latest Eurotuner. A little bummed Evolution Racewerks had so many issues. I have no idea how good those Contis are so it would have been interesting to see how their times compared to their times at the Super Lap Finals with the AD08s.
