E91 Boot struts
Anyone had there's go very "slow" on an E91? Ours has got slower and slower opening and both me and Mrs Matt have both tw4tted our heads on the back of it when we've expected it to have opened fully.
Lubed it but still very slow opening (in fact it often stops). Possible warranty job (it's still got 8 months left)? |

It is due to the cold temp I'm sure, the gas pressure reduces when cold, notice the struts say 'UK' on them, so maybe they are meant for warner climates??
In the summer it shoots up and is quite hard to close. It must be a hard balance to get right. I have cracked my head too a few times .... |

Hmm - my 2005 Vauxhall Astra Estate (!) was fine. Occasionally squeaked but that was it. Always opened perfectly.
My last head crack was a whopper - big "egg" on my head and I saw stars. |

I would mention it to the dealer when next visiting as the struts must be faulty (otherwise everyones would do it!) but only shown up under cold conditions. |

Ahh but it is cool though and the opening window bit makes an ideal "playpen" for little ones!

Its better with the window shut and the dividing net up - no escape for the little bugger then. Just leave some water and food |

Around 10 months old here. He's at a funny angle and doesn't actually have a spine issue!
He loved it in there but is now a bit tall! I managed to ignore the fingerprints... |

I had a serious look at a 335i but the 335d just pipped it for me. Like the 335i a lot though.

If 2 were on sale (a lot) I'd guess yours must be an Auto Saul? I waited 4 months and not a single 335i manual tourer came up - had to buy a new one instead, damn! Today there are SEVEN 335d tourers and ONE 335i SE Auto tourer on the AUC site. |

mines a manual mate, funnily enough they were both manuals, but early 56 platers (so expensive road tax) is probably the reason they werent selling and the reason i got a good deal!
