Places to Tuck Away an ipod

Anyone know any tips on where best to stow an ipod? I've got a connector coming from the back of my head unit and want to store the ipod permanently somewhere (although still need to get it out from time to time to update!).

I did have it in the small compartment under the drivers air vent and just jammed it shut, but seems I have broken my cable in doing so (worked for 6 months though!). I just fed the cable under the steering column and into the drawer.

So any other solutions that are fairly undesruptive the the interor?! e.g. is it easy to get into the glovebox without drilling etc?

The BMW iPOD connector comes from the back of the unit into the glove box which means you can leave the iPOD there whithout a worry. Best plave IMO.
