vibrating dashboard
Evening, from having the symbol that shows a steering wheel with a lock above it i've had the car in the dealers and its taken them 2 weeks to fix it...a whole new steering wheel and column had to be fitted apparently. However now a strange vibration has started right in the middle of the dash board when i go through the gears, god its so annoying. Of course BMW cant fix it or not really hear it!!! Can anyone shed some light on it?? Where to go about it or what to do about it??

Are you sure it is actually the dash and not the engine cover vibrating under the bonnet? I had a vibration in the middle of the dash after fitting a tuning box and it turned out to be the engine cover which wasn't located correctly in the two slots at the rear of the engine bay causing it to vibrate against the bulkhead behind the dash. May be worth a check.

I have something similar on my 320d, i think its the engine cover, i can only hear it when the car is at idle. If i put pressure on the cover whilst the engine is running it stops. It's going back to the dealer to fix along witha couple of other small issues.
