Getting poor gas mileage, city 14.8 - 15.7, currently stock what should I expect.
14.8 - 15.7, is really trying hard to only go with or slower than the city traffic flow and mostly light to light driving no frwy. Do I have a problem ? |

im stock except for the jb+ and i get like 12mpg if not less but thats prolly due to my right foot being extremely heavy... plus doing 150 doesnt do much to help my avg. either

6AT Here, Drive 50% DS, 50% D and I avg about 12mpg (with a tune) in the city... On a recent 4 hour highway trip i got 23mpg, didn't help i was doing about 90 the whole time though... OP your good, your about avg, maybe a little more... But IDK... Don't worry too much about it... If you wanted good MPG's you should have gotten the 335d,

I get around 20MPG and its just city driving. If you aren't flooring it everywhere you are going then you could have a problem or your using bad fuel.

JB3 1.4 PnP and BMS DCI... mostly highway and I'm hitting 20+ mpg on average. My commute is almost an hour each way unfortunately.

My universal is 17.5 MPG but that was before with a JB+. I'm actually getting around 19-21MPG with JB3. OP, if you say you're driving with flow of traffic, you should not be getting as bad MPG as you are. If you don't gas with a lead foot, you should be closer to 20 MPG. I only get around 15MPG when doing lots of spirited driving.

Thanks guys,
I'm almost positive I got better gas mileage with the JB+ while driving sensibly. How much does tire diameter and size make, running 19"s 275 rear and 245 fronts, Im sure its not helping. I wonder if resetting the ECU would help. With normal driving I was thinking we should get 17min 19max maybe I'll let the wife drive shes a pretty slow driver. |

I dont think that cruising at 25mph in 6th gear is good...for tranny or motor. But I could be wrong, it just seems to shudder and not feel good when I am going too slow for a higher gear.

TC, sounds about right for stop and go. I actually get about that on NYC streets. For mixed driving, i average 21-22. This is with a JB3, DCI, Map 7, 93 octane.

I get around 16-18 with all city driving, and I have LFS (Leadfoot syndrome). I got 28 mpg on a road trip this past weekend, and that was doing about 80 the whole way.
I have a 6MT, I usually cruise in 5th between 40-60 mph, engine hangs out right around 1500-2k rpms. I do 6th anything above 60 obviously, but for the most part I try to keep the RPMS above 1500 no matter what speed. I'm surprised you guys are getting low numbers, I thought getting 16 was bad but I guess not, I'm happy now! lol, I'm bone stock btw.
