Channel cover on ext.door peeling up...

I just noticed on my passenger door exterior window trim that runs on the lower outside of window glass that the corner that hooks onto the door is peeling up and looks like the thing is to short for the door.

I included a very ROUGH pic of what I am referring to and I know its not covered under my CPO warranty. I dont know if it is from sun damage or cold that made it shrink but is a new one hard to install if I order one?

The part number I have is this

51 33 7 060 236

But I think its old now since its a 2006 325xi. OR should I just leave it alone and am I being to anal retentive about this crap? The hook part still holds but you can push it up and down easily and I dont know if this is a water leak issue?

Has anyone had this situation before? The drivers side is fine and lays flush on both doors like it should.

I will go out at lunch and take a REAL photo since I think that will help a LOT more in explaining my situation.

Also maybe then Fellow BMW owners can look at theirs and tell me if it is Normal or not.

thanks guys,

Here are 2 Pictures I just took and explain it ALOT better.

Please POST any helpful things here if you can, or what I should do?

1. Is it a water leak concern?

2. Is it just cosmetic?

THANKS GUYS

Well guys, I went out at my break time to see if I could adjust anything but NOPE, it is bowed like the above pics, I know for a fact I would of noticed this when buying the car. I always look it over b4 leaving work to see if anyone dinged it or scratched it and would have seen it ages ago.

So it must be cold weather related

Can someone PLEASE let me know if this is a possible leak issue?

If not I will just leave it until springtime to fix or my next visit to dealer, which is not for another 4 months or so to dealer...

Not a leak issue. You have a vapor barrier in the door.

^^ thank you Socom, I had those fixed a few months back, so I should be ok.

I think I am just becoming an anal retentive BMW Owner that fits that 10% Stereotype that complains or worries about any and all things related to ones bimmer.
