you driving there? I've gone a few times and have always enjoyed it. Show ends this weekend, right? Make sure you take lots of pics and post them if you can!

That would be a nice trip!
I can't believe I will miss the Toronto show... been going every year for the past 15 years. Not the best show, but at least there is one.

I help set up the interior design show. i help set up Rowenta, Krups and one new company but i don't remember. I wish the company i worked at was bigger so it could get job for the auto show. My dad, before he moved to a different company, he built the Lexus both for the Toronto auto show. and i also meet a guy from setting up shows, that sets up Honda/Acura. I really wish the company i work with sets up the auto show so i can get in for FREE

Years ago there seemed to be more concept cars and special displays like F1 cars, etc. Now it seems like a giant supermarket of cars and lots of the models on display aren't very interesting. As for the mezzanine where the Shamwows and other junk is found, the less said the better. Still I often drag myself to the show although I didn't go last year. The Detroit show might be interesting but then apparently Porsche didn't even bother to participate.

I wonder if Porsche will be at this year's Toronto show. They hosted their own "show" at Downtown Porsche, Pfaff had their own "Porsche" booth at the show.

The show overall was pretty weak - I would say the worst in the 10 straight years that I have gone. No Nissan / Infiniti, Porsche, Lambo. The evident signs of a crappy ecomony still exist in the motor city.
I have not been to the Toronto show since I started going to Detroit. |

Totally agree. The show was SO weak. I went on the industry preview day and it was pretty quiet. I couldn't believe porsche was absent. Big disappointment. I also thought that the BMW Display was mediocre compared to the toronto show last year. Audi's display looked really nice but i heard it caught fire haha. never realized how rough Detroit was. Toronto show will probably be pretty scaled down too. But i think it'll actually be better than detroit. -DK |
