Thinking about trading my 07 335 coupe for an slk 55 07
Well i have been considering trading my car in or selling it .I have an early 07 build 335i coupe and im pretty bored of it and i have only had it for a year and a half.I was considering of getting a tune for it but i do not have a factory oil cooler and im just scared of ruining the car.So i came up with just getting a new car altogether. What do u guys think about the slk 55??Ive never had a convertible and i love the way the slk looks even though some say its a chick car.Is it worth it?? thanks in advance

i would not like to own a car like that out of warranty.
i have an sclass i bought new out of warranty, and lets say i could have easily bought a c350 in repair costs. we have a new sclass aswell, its in warranty and of course no problems, i am not waiting for warranty to end to see if it is different. same goes for our 2004 jag, and e320....the less electronics the better. cars like this + no warranty = rape |

I have a year left on my bmw warranty and that is why i am considering getting a new car.My original plan was to buy an extended warranty,go with the dinan tune and oil cooler to play it safe. The Dinan tune and oil cooler is just a little over 5,000 and the extended warranty is 3,500.Thanks for the responses.I know its kinda weird asking a bmw forum if i should trade my bmw in for a mercedes.Just wanna get some suggestions and opinions.

AMG!!!love the 335, but the 55AMG is a monster! if you are not worried about room and trunk space, i would do it! having the top down in a car that roars and handles like a go kart, simply amazing!!! check for pre-owned warranty though, might find one with low kms if you are lucky! good luck!

Chicks Car ? AMG? I don't think so. If you are sick of your car and want some change, then you should do it. But why not test drive the M3 before the SLK?

M3 vert-The bMW dealership offered me extended warranty by a company called Coverage One.Covers everything for 3 years but you pay a 200 dollar deductible every time you visit for service.
alexosma-I would love the convertible m3 but is way out of my price range. The slk55 im planning to get will actually be brought in from the states.Ive talked to a broker and 07 with about 20,000 miles on it will only cost me just under 50,000 with taxes and all the other custom fees in.I think thats one hell of a deal compared to the one i looked at locally here in BC which was priced at 58,800 plus taxes. |

apples vs oranges....a two seater roadster vs a 4 passenger coupe.....get yourself some bolt ons and a tune...and your e92 will be a different kind of car to drive.....

Believe it or not, after reviewing it with my Service Advisor, the EASYCARE warranty was more comprehensive then the EXTENDED LIMITED WARRANTY sold by MERCEDES And on top of that if I was to bring the vehicle in for service to the selling dealer of the Ext Warr., there was $0 Deductible! Otherwise it was just $50 Check them out, and ask your dealer too. good Luck |

I have a 12/06 build date with no oil cooler and I have been running a tune for a little over 20k with no issues. The 335i is a different animal onced tuned.

EasyCare
I have no personal experience, but I did look into EasyCare when I was debating on getting a used (off warranty) M5. Check out these posts:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=602841 http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1020994 http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/e...st-rds-440479/ Although this posts (and there are many like it if you Google) are complaining about EasyCare, it appears they cover what is detailed in their contract. Be very aware of what is covered and what isn't. Don't assume that you are getting full coverage for all the parts on your car and the labour costs associated with those parts. EasyCare will only pay what they feel is the appropriate costs. |
