Vehicle Order Tracking time frames-too long?
Hey guys, I placed an order for my 335i coupe about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it is still listed as "on order" in the owners circle section. Is that normal for most? I was expecting a week to a week and a half at most at "on order" status. Can other owners chime in as to how long each stage took for their orders? I thought most of the 8 week period went to building, shipping and vehicle processing, etc.(the latter stages of order cycle). Thanks...

It depends on your dealer's allocation. If your order was in the current month's allocation your car should start production within one or two weeks. If it is in the next month's or a future month's allocation you could have quite a wait. Ask your CA (salesguy) if your car is in his current allocation.

Thanks man. I actually called the 800 number and got some more up to date info. They said it was a week 45 production and that it was currently scheduled for production. Man the OC really lags behind on real time order status. Kinda seems pointless with that and the fact that you're options posted are completely off the mark. Well, I guess i'll be using the toll free number from now on for quick updates...
