Thumbs up Anneka @ Sytner

Hi all,

This is mainly just to say, thank you very much Anneka, for assisting in sourcing the accessories and the parts I wanted. Will you please thank your colleagues in the parts department as well as I'm really pleased with their service as well.

On a separate note, I was looking at the photos of your private car as posted in the welcome area:

I've driven one of these too and really enjoyed it (plus our Dubai office has a M6 convertible) . Very nice too.

We sure are working on it (will be official soon) and Darren has been negotiating something with the mods.

I'm currently working on some ideas... (top secret stuff)... but I think you guys will like the direction we're heading in

Thanks to Anneka, and Darren for their contacts at Land Rover.

The guys at Land Rover in Thames Ditton (Sytner) are helping me by liaising with LR UK on my behalf to help resolve issues with a LR dealer in Moscow (who are clueless), concerning a brand new but troublesome Range Rover that's with our Moscow office.

I won't bore you all with all the details but these guys are going out of their way and beyond the call of duty to help me, and thats really appreciated.

On a separate note I don't remember if I've thanked Kevin Whitaker - after sales manager @ Harold Wood already for this:

I arranged with Harold Wood to repair a stone chip on one of the X5's wheels because they were the most convenient place to go and I remembered Darren mentioned Sytner BMW investing in smart repair technology. I'd like to report the job was splendid, as Kevin would probably tell you even though I'm extremely picky, I just couldn't fault this repair (importantly all done at a great price too). There's no way that it looks like a smart repair, its that good .

Unfortunately, though, not so long after the I'd had the car back (during the snow fall) the car's ECU/battery decided to play up. The guys at Harold Wood sent their workshop controller to help me out, who I'd like to add is also a proper chap . He tried to help me, but the car wasn't responding and we were forced to recover it to the dealership. It couldn't be fixed whilst I waited, and while I was trying to work out in my head the best bus route back - the after sales manager arranged to loan me his personal car (which is a great gesture).

The rectification work was supposed to take up to 3 working days, but the car was ready in less than 24 hours and I was able to pick it up on the Saturday. Only one slight 'but', someone unintentionally lost the fastener on the BMW leather key fob holder I use. However I informed the service advisor when picking up the car, and the controller called me during the week to arrange a replacement , but I haven't received it yet. Maybe its in the post.

I must say that is an unbelievable level of service from a main BMW dealer these days. I am really impressed. Although I've generally had really good service from my local dealer, I now wish I lived closer to Harold Wood BMW. Well done to them

Fancy opening up in Edinburgh. We could do with getting rid of the crooks which are Eastern BMW!

I'm Sytner divisional staff, as such I am not attached to any one dealership. However, I primarily work from Sytner Chigwell BMW and Mini.
