Spoiler - Any Noticeable Effect?

Just curious from people that have installed a Spoiler, any noticeable effect to car feel?

My suspicion is no noticeable effect, but please let me know.

No real noticeable effect, the M3 Lip Spoiler is slightly functional at Autobahn speeds but get the spoiler for aesthetics, not for downforce.

If you need downforce, I suggest a set of front splitters, rear diffuser and a larger wing although it would be silly for road use.

If they were functional, all our 3M taped spoilers would be flying off :P

I would venture a guess that the lip spoiler barely does anything at 150 mph

For every day driving, definitely NOT.

You should not notice much of an effect. Most lip and smaller spoilers are for looks and not for performance. They do have some downforce effect by changing the airflow but it is minimal.

There are reasons why race cars use such huge wing spoilers and diffusers.

Aerodynamic concept of a car wing is exactly the same physics as an airplane's wing except in reverse. One generates down force, the other generates lift.

Any wing which can alter airflow velocity by creating a pressure differential (High and low) will have a certain effect on the applied pressure at the rear of the car.
The addition of a wing increases the surface area at the rear, forcing a larger amount of high velocity airflow to travel over it , creating High pressure.
The air flowing below or behind the wing is low and travelling at a slower velocity, thus creates low pressure.
Having high pressure above the wing and low presuure below it, will push the car down at the rear.
How effectively it pushes down is determined by the cars velocity and the size of the wing itself. The more pressure differential created between these two surface areas....... the greater the downforce.

The wing on the back of the M3 may look small but I'm sure the M Division designed it to fine tune the right amount of high speed balance and stability afforded to work with it's rear suspension geometry.....................no matter how small that adjustment is.

Ouchchhhhhhhh!!!!! Thats like watching hundred dollar bills fly through the air and smash all over the pavement!

I honestly dont think I'd stick anything on my car that has wind forcing it in any direction besides straight against the car (ie. front lips). Even so, I've got my lip bolted on.

A spoiler for daily driving doesn't do much, but if your going over 150 regularly, then it would give the car some downward force in the rear....

id think the most downforce is created by the amuse trunk.

he probably installed it too quickly. You gotta hold pressure against that shit for hours with something, not just a 5 minute hold. its made to hold up.
