Finally. A salesperson who may actually know something about the cars he's trying to sell! I realize that I am generalizing, but I've encountered so many salespeople who know so little about the specifics of these cars.

+1 . Its sad I went for a test drive in the lci e90 and I was selling the car to myself. I felt like I was talking to myself. lol Most salesmen dont know shit about the car.

BTW Congrats on the new JOB!!!

i'm gonna be a client advisor/ better known as salesman. i have never sold a car in my life but just being a fanatic an knowing what i know from being a fanatic just showed them the love i have for the car. they saw that i was motivated educated in bmw's so that was a plus.

its crazy how it happened i was bored at work one day so i went to my local bmw dealers website an just fooled around and applied for a job they called me in for an interview and he saw how passionate, motivated, and just the knowledge i had was just outstanding. there's nothing i can tell you that would help you just know what your talking about an just be yourself. just be honest they love that because these are high end car's and your customers are most important most bmw owners always come back for another.

it is def great for me to know a lot of specifics about these cars if it wasn't for this sight i wouldn't know much. i feel confident when i go to the dealer i hold my head up high and look at the other sales man and just wonder if they really know anything about these cars besides the books on them

If I can offer some advice, majority of the customers dont care about HP and all the jazz, I know we do as enthusiast, but as enthusiast buying a car we dont need a salesmen to tell us things like that.

They want to know, MPG, Safety, and Price.

Be their friend. Best advice I can offer you.

If you start getting carried away in LSD, Torque, HP, Weight of the car, ETC They will look at you like you have 3 heads. Not saying you will do this, just saying dont LOL.

Good luck. Car sales is either a love or hate relationship. I stuck with hate.

You'll be sucked dry in a matter of months. Between the clients and the floor manager....only a matter of time. Good luck though!

Just remember, now you have to learn about ALL the models. Not just the 3-er.

Congrats man! I'm sure you already know but just treat every customer with respect (even when they don't look like they're going to buy anything) and they will come back/refer friends to you. That's especially true in the asian culture. Once they trust you they will refer everyone in their extended family to you (that's like a billion people!!).
