Time Pressure for 2006 325i

Hi folks,

My car came with Run Flat Tires that are of spec:

205/55R16 91H

According to the BMW manual, I should be inflating my front tires at 33 psi and rear tires at 44 psi. Is this correct? Am I reading the BMW manual wrong?

Help!

Thanks,

Farhan

NO! I have the same car and I do 34psi front and 39 rear. and thats actually higher than what it should be. The sticker on the driver side door says for 16" should be 29 front and 34 rear.

i remember reading in the manual, that tp's depend on type of tires, speed you normally drive + weight of passengers. there was several instances where it doesn't match up with the stick at the door, so if it really bothers you alot and matters alot, i would look at the manual

If the manual doesn't say that and the sticker either, then what are you basing your tire pressures on? Comfort?

Thanks.

Base model 2006 325i tire placard (sticker) shows 29/35. Sport package cars show 30/35. XI sport wagons show 32/38.

I read from somewhere saying that when driving in winter its better to have the tp about 3 psi higher than what it should be. So when its cold the tp wont get too low because of the temp. Well that might be wrong but personally I just like to have the tp a little higher so the car feels a little lighter (when driving around in the city...)

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll just go with what the manual says:

33 psi and 44psi

I think a bit more pressure feels better on the road especially when going over curbs, and especially when coming down one...

I remember 29/35 on my door placard, though I've found that ~33/36 gives me sharper steering and a little more front end bite on turn-in.
