My 2006 325i

Yesterday I dropped of my car at Long Beach Bmw because my car was acting up. Yesterday on the way to the dealership my gas warning came up at 60 miles that never happened until I drove into the dealership. Sometimes my A/c turns on when I turn my car on who here has the same problem with there 325i?

My gas warning comes on all the time, just not sure where it starts. Once it's on is normally when the wife tells me to go drive the car (so I can fill it up)

A/C/heater setting is set the same way I turn off the car.

Gas warning light comes on based on your gas mileage and percentage of fuel left based on that. It won't always be at 60 miles, unless you consistently drive in the same patterns, with the same lead foot (or non lead foot, as it were).

Not sure about your other issue.

If you have your climate control set to "Auto" the A/C is active all the time. It will come on when it senses it needs to. You can manually shut it off by pushing the A/C button. (The green light will go out). It's recommended that you leave it on to achieve proper ventilation but I've used it both ways and haven't noticed any difference. It probably depends on where you live.

Mine does exactly the same thing. The only problem it has right now is they forgot the 2 turbos. The 18 other problems were fixed under warranty.

It is good for the AC compressor to kick on periodically, plus when your windows fog, it acts as a dehumidifier.
I guess it knows when to turn on? Perhaps our cars are even smarter than we are. :-P

Isn't the AC supposed to come on when you turn the car on?
