POLL: Opinions Sought

The install itself is a pretty miserable fail (i thought it was difficult).

the look itself is pretty much what I wanted, but maybe a shade lighter; reason for the poll - i'm probabloy gunna get them painted as i like the slightly 'de-red'd' look.

IMO the stock look is cleaner - but just a personal opinion

you could always wait and retrofit the LSI spec LED lights that are coming soon, if you want something different?

I had the LED lights on my E46 and still think they're a better look than my E92, esp at night or when the running lights are on

I'll wait to see the facelift lights on an Australian spec car, but this pic from the BMW Germany web site looks alright

looks ghetto, never actually understood it really...

i guess each to their own. if you wanted uniqueness why didnt you just go the individual route.

A little too black, but, stock is too red IMHO.

As for individual - well mate, the deal was a car in stock and I didnt want to do individual as that's list price!!

I don't have any problem with smoked lights, but there are two reasons why I prefer the stock ones on your car.

1) I'm not really a fan of black on black, as I prefer some contrast. For example I wouldn't mind darkened tail lights on a white car, while others probably think it looks ghetto. I mean BMW owners are normally very conservative, and even suble mods tend to stand out on a BMW. So I would only do it if I was very confident that it was well co-ordinated with the car's overall style and be very cautious not to go too far with it. I don't think you went too far with the smoked look for a black car, although for a white car I probably would tone it down slightly.

2) Your M3 style wheels have a bright finish that I think is a better match with the stock lights. Maybe the darkened lights would look good with the previous gun-metal colour wheels you used. Then again it is becoming quite a dark look, so personally I'd have second thoughts about that look even if it has a more consistent style overall.

I'm hanging out for the LCI LED's as it looks like they will be a direct swap fitment, unlike the sedans...
