Would it be bad if I replace my frornt tires buy another brand. i.e. Pirelli's?

its an air bubble in your tire, stick a screwdriver in it and let the air out to get rid of it

when you hit a bad pothole, it breaks the supporting bands inside your sidewall. Picture a bunch of parralel bands running the length of the sidewall, keeping the sidewall aligned. if you snap some of them, the wall basically gives way. haha, trying to explain that is not the easiest thing to do.

That pretty much somes it up. I can happen from normal wear & tear / potholes. I replaced my dreaded run flats with some nice Good Year A/S tires. Best money I spent on the car yet!

Do not do that. That will cause a blowout at highway speeds.

You will need to completely replace the tires.
