VAC ITCM??
i was reading my roundel mag last night and saw this ad, VAC motorsports offers the tuning for N54, well apparently it looks like no difference than JB/Procede products...
but i've searched and don't see much posts about their product. any member tried their ITCM unit yet? i wanna see if anyone actually is running this tune can share the info here?

The product looks a bit odd.

It says "simple 2 wire install"
Reminds me of a JB1 or JB2 with the ability to plug it into the computer and eventually upgrade to better tuned maps? Ehhhhh..... For the money, I think theres better options. Also, I've never heard of the tune or anybody running it. I think there a lot of random tunes out there for the N54 that non-enthusiasts wind up purchasing just from googling and magazine ads. |

I'm currently on the fence about this VAC ITCM - VAC Motorsports is an absolutely excellent name in BMW motorsport and I trust them explicitly. So when I saw this on their website at a price point considerably less than the competition, I put it on the top of my list. I may purchase it within the next 2 weeks, so I'll keep y'all informed with a good review.

VAC is tops. They are installing KW V1s for me next week with 235/265 (F/R) Dunlop Direzza Star Specs on 18" 8.5/9.5(F/R) Apex ARC-8 hypersilver wheels. I am also considering adding the VAC ITCM. It seems like a good compromise between ease of install/deinstall and performance. I have not seen anywhere what the maximum boost is - this is of concern to me as I really want to keep my E90 N54 for a number of years and am concerned about the effect of high boost levels on engine life. Also, VAC claims dealer undetectability -- i.e., throws no codes, I think? I'll be asking them about boost and codes and will let you know.

NEW INFO: Max boost for the VAC ITCM is 15-16 psi. I'm not sure about the codes.
