seat airbags

i think i have nackerd them, used one of those hoovers with water to get the muck off my seats theyve came up brilliant but i didnt think at the time about the airbag so now i have an airbag and seatbelt light coming up, will this turn off when the unit has dryed out or am i going to get bummed by the dealer for a new driver n passenger airbag in the seats?

says air bag on the side at the bottom ? well that light has gone out just keeps sayin someone is sat in the passenger seat now when theres nobody there? is there some sort of sensor? seat is still wet

There is a weight sensor that is activated if there is pressure exceeding 15kg on the seat. This probably means that your sensor is short circuiting and theoretically should go back to normal once the fluid dries up (previously happened to my E60 525i, and resolved spontaneously). I'd be very surprised if you end up having to replace anything.
