Sub Frame
Has anyone heard of this and if so give your opinion, before i take my BMW in and make a fool of myself

It was a problem on early model E46s, mostly on the 1999 and 2000 models. It affected both coupe and sedan if I remember correctly. There was a huge thread about it on E46Fanatics. I had a 2000 323i so I was getting worried. If you get under your car with a flashlight it would be easy to diagnose yourself.

It was also a problem with the E36 3 series as well. IIRC..BMW fixed the E36 cars in Europe as a warranty action but did not do the same in the US. There are no reports of any E90/92 as having this problem. |
