I think the wood trims actually cost more than the alum. Asking for a trade AND $250obo is probably why you don't have any offers. You'd be better off with a straight up trade or just wrapping the alum.

"Cost" and "resale value" on these pieces are completely unrelated. No one is offering Aluminum plus cash for wood trim. I see several people wanting to swap from wood, not to wood. Supply and more imporantly, demand, drive resale value.

Barrique red paint costs more than alpine white and jet black, but which is more desirable and which holds more value in the pre-owned market?

Thanks for sharing. I didn't understand how any of those threads justify wood's value. One of them was even someone trying to get rid of their light poplar wood.

It's an asking price and states "OBO". If people want to make an offer, they are more than welcome to.
