Speak with Andrew, they do many options. I'm testing the 2channel one (Boost Sensor and Common Rail sensor) .

They also do a 3 channel one (boost sensor, common raild and crank sensor) but for life of me could not get to the cranksor and remove the plug so couldnt fit it,

The kits a doddle to install and after initial quick drive well fitted in only 30min ago it seems car is smoother and more eager to pull

I quite like my Steinbauer P-Box. What engine is it? If it's a 163bhp non-DPF, I'll be selling mine in a couple of months.

Do you not want a full remap instead of a tuning box? p-torque offer remaps for a similar price and include before and after rolling road test.

its the 163bhp one, when you have them remaped dose it say on the car for ever or resets when you have a service.

a map should stay if you go with evolve you can get a switch unit so it allows you to put car back to stock before service etc, in my case as I have a LCI 320D it cant be remapped via ODB port its an ECU out job which means not as easy to put back to stock, hence the plugin box is ideal for that.

Hi James,

as per our pm's on the Astra site, we can offer various systems for your car...

Ive just been playing with the new 3 channel system today from DTE on my 335d and to be honest this is something else we'll be offering for BMW's within the next few months

for Spider boxes on here

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...87#post3215687

Loads of box discussions or go for a remap. Spiders sell used for around £160 - 170 on here which is a good saving over new.

The 2 channel kit and 3 channel kits Andrew has offer far more control then just a common rail system, giving a closer feel of a full map with added bonus of easy removal. In my case only option untils someone if ever cracks ODB coding on LCI

The 320d filter is a pain to get to. A remap or tuning box is your best bet and maybe a sports exhaust but I doubt that would make a massive difference

If you gettinga tunning box get a pipercross panel filter , it will help engine breath and you should find spool up of the turbo easier and quicker

which box did you order in the end

its a pain on the e46 320D and the e90 163bhp as its a cone installed parallel to the engine so lot has to come out to get to it,

with the 177 engine the air filter moved to an normal airbox so it depends which engine you have
