whats wrong with my motor?!
ok so my car on a cold start will shake, clutch will clatter, pours out white/blue smoke, oil in exhaust tip, and back fires... all this goes away after 5 min and 2 restarts. today it was 40 min and massive amounts of smoke. i replaced all spark plugs, coils, and HPFP. still doing it after all that WTF is going on here????
ideas- loose O2, but it couldnt be pouring out oil exhaust leak, once again dont think there would be oil coming out. BTW car runs strong when it does work / SES always on and flashes on start up please help with ideas. |

coolant leak is just a white smoke, a BLUE/White smoke is oil being burned. You either have a oil seal leak in the turbo or in the cylinder/heads. I assume it goes away as the components heat up and gets a better seal as the metal starts expanding. Take it to the dealer sounds like a big job possible. How has your oil consumption been? DO this stat before you kill your cats from them soaking up all that oil. replacing the cats will be $$$

i know for sure the smoke is caused by oil. i learned it the hard way, so, check your oil in every way possible.

I'm just curious why you would allow your car to sputter, shake and emit strange exhaust fumes for 40+ minutes.

I think I remember somebody mentioning a leaky head gasket not to long ago. Its definitely a possibility. I'd inspect your turbos as well.

... warrenty void
the car is at the former GBR racing now performance racing solutions... great guys. turbo manifold fell off for the last like 2 months, all coils are toast, all O2 sensors are toast, tensioner belt shreded (as soon as i pulled into the shop) and power steering pully is done. leaks lots of oil out of one turbo.... blown? i hope not |

So basically you were driving with shredding belts, bad sensors and leaking oil. How many lights were going off on your dashboard? Boy you sound like a smart one. You are trying to say your car is at Performance Racing Solutions which was formerly known as GBR Racing. There is no way you drove around with a manifold that 'fell off' for two months. If you did, you are just enforcing my prior statement to negligence by driving it that way. I wouldn't honor your warranty either for such poor treatment of a machine. These are machines, not 'things you use'. They need maintained and taken care of. Let me guess, you are someone who sees the oil light and ignores it? |

the shop it is at is way better than the dealer. i ordered 2 new turbos for $430 shipped! total labor with compression test was $1650 with tax plus turbos so $2080, and i may need a new injector. vinyl wrap will have to wait a couple weeks now
for all out there who beat the shit out of their cars.... dont get your warrenty voided. if you do sell that shit to carmax |
