Winter Waxing for a new BMW

I just got my new 328i 10 days ago and winter is approaching fast here in Montreal. I've been reading the posts about waxing and haven't found any info pertaining to my specific situation.

My car is parked outdoors all the time and I live downtown, so I can't wash the car myself with Dawn. I get my car cleaned at a nearby "by hand" carwash. Can I still use Zaino products and what's the quickest way to apply a sealant that will resist our harsh winters and last 4-6 months? Remember my car is only 10 days old.

Thanks

GF

can't you just take a bucket, mitt, and all your cleaning stuff (Dawn, Zaino wash, sealant, etc) to a quarter car wash? the Dawn wash only has to be done once; and once cleaned, a coat of Z5 and another of Z2 will easily last all winter.

yes just have the place wash your car with the basic wash, and drive it home. apply the zaino in your driveway in the shade or set up an ezup or something for shade as soon as u get home..u dont need water or anything just some microfiber towels and a couple hours after work of your own time and your car will appreciate you forever!

It is likely your dealership waxed the car. To easily remove the wax use a 50/50 solution of rubbing alcohol and water in a spray bottle. Spray on the paint and wipe off with a microfiber, then apply Zaino.
