Chrome / Cadium Dipped. Similar process to Chroming but less resistant to chipping and corrosion.

Looks good.. Post some pics when you're done. I would think about doing this as well if its reasonably priced as I am not a fan of the stock calliper look, but they sure do perform well on the track

For sure Mike.

Im doing this on the Rotora BBK I just bought. The shop thats doing it for me said they did a few stock calipers in this finish before, but because it left it with a rough finish, it didnt look too appealing the stock calipers arent smooth like the aftermarket pieces. He advised going with powder coating with the stock brakes.

Powder coating likely won't hold up to the extreme heat of track abuse, if you plan on tracking your car at all.

I'm curious how the chrome/cadnium dip would hold up to extreme heat as well.

Will let yah know how they hold up... Unfortunately I do not track the car.

I was always under the impression that powdercoating was quite common when re-finishing your brakes... I have had my calipers powder coated before and had no issues.

Will put the stickers back on. But Rotora wants to charge me 50 USD + 12.50 shipping for 4 Stupid stickers.... Too bad for them. I might get a custom set made up. I like the BMW Performance logo. Might do that.

Or i can put Brembo on them and tell Rotora F off :P

Will see how it goes.

I was thinking about going with some crazy color like Sparkle Orange... But i decided against it.

Remember my car wont stay silver for long

I never really seen a chrome/polished brake setup on an E9X except Retrodrives crazy 12 Pot caliper setup.

Should look pretty nice behind the Textured black wheels.
