HID's or LUX H8?

Help me decide which way I should go. I’ve been looking at the Lux H8, the Camero305ss HID’s and the Alpine HID’s. Lux H8's have the fastest install for sure and from what I have read are very good with no issues, but the Camero305ss and the Alpine HID's look like great quality at close to the same price points. I want a nice bright white AE if I go HID’s should I go 6000k or 8000K. Any advice would be appreciated!!!

LUX! Painless install, quality product. I'd stay away from Camaros crap. Personal experience.

I love My camaross305 HID angels. Had them for a year and a half now. Great product and great vendor support! Straight forward install. Couldn't be happier. Brightest and best angel eyes for sure.

LUX is the best of both worlds...bright enough during the day to be clearly visible yet not too bright at night to overtake the stock xenons

^That's very deceiving, no offense to you. I'm sure you love your HID angel eyes since you spent $100+ on it, but in all honesty, i've seen this in person, and the angel eyes are not that refined with HIDs.

I've seen them at meets & on the road, and every single time, it's been a nice big blob of light. You won't notice they're angel eyes until your close to the car or looking at it from an angle.

To the OP, if you want a bright, even-as-you-can-get output on all rings, and white angel eyes without the blobbing effect, LUX might be the choice for you

Sorry, I didn't clarify. I meant with the head lights on. You can't even tell if there's angel eyes on the car.

I think I'm going to get the Lux H8 ones. I appricaite all your guys input especialy camero305ss who was very informational and patient with all my questions. I just wanted a good simple install and I don't want to be to bright on the road which I had fears of with the HID's. I'm sure all are quality productss, but the lux just seemed to fit my needs better.

I found that HIDs are too bright for this application. They bleed into the rest of the headlight and look like a mess when completely lit up. Just my opinion but I think there is a limit to how bright you want the halos- they are an accent to your headlights, not the actual headlight itself.

yeah stay away from camarross crap...had a few friends who had the kit and the relays often fail on them. The wiring harness is a joke its more of a universal power relay kit. Plus his customer service sucks....i tried contacting him a few time with technical questions and he was the typical sales guy only trying to push his lights.

I got Camarross's kit and everything is fine. I like them cuz they're nice and bright. Have no problems currently.

To each their own...

Here are pics of my LUX H8s I took recently. I didn't set the picture up or anything. I just got out of the car and took a pic. In fact, the car is facing the sun and I took them at about 9AM.

I had a problem with my initial pair of LUX H8s. They conked out on me because I think they overheated. I spoke with Marc personally multiple times and he improved the design and got me a new set (albeit after a few weeks).

I'm very satisfied with them. I've had them since September 09.

I don't think LUX H8 is as bright as Cameros HID.

HID doesn't look like a blob at night, even with headlights on, you can see the circles perfectly. The camera setting didn't capture the detail of the halo. See the HID in person and you'll not regret it.

I don't have LUX so I can't say it won't be as good as HIDs. But I have a question for people that has LUX, does the reflection brightness of LUX as bright as the OEM reflection brightness? So if you park in front of a wall, does LUX look as bright as OEM's reflection?

We can agree to disagree. Everyone that sees my Angel eyes will 100% disagree with everything you just said. They are sharp and bright on my car. The pictures you showed below are just shot poorly with an incorrect shutter speed or f-stop. I can make any angel eye look like that picture. This is taken with headlights on.

I will say that the inner ring is definitely brighter than the outer ring. This has been the real failure on almost all the kits I have tested. LUX did the best job in my opinion of equally spreading the light across both rings.

I have nothing to gain by being deceptive. I have personally tested stock, GP Thunder, LUX H8, RD Angel Eyes, and HID. I am just giving my first hand experience on all these setups. I have even put one solution in a headlight with another in the other headlight for back to back testing. I think this can be summarized best as some people like brighter angel eyes and others don't. This is not about what is better, but what is best for you.

For what it is worth, I also think the LUX H8 are a great product too. I have one last kit to test and I do that soon.
