Spring Detail Technique
Preparing for my Spring detail; have a couple of questions:
1) Once or twice a year, I usually use JW Prime, with a PC7424 and green pad, followed by a sealant, either JW Trigger or JetSeal 109. My paint is in OK shape (I think), no major defects (2006 E90 TiAg). I have some Sonus SFX-2 Enhance I have not used previously. Can anyone compare JW Prime vs. the Enhance? 2) When using either Prime or Enhance, is it essential to do a 1:1 Iso/water wipedown following the application, prior to the sealant, or is that overkill? thanks! |

ISO wipedown before sealant (of any kind) is NOT overkill, that's taking a few extra minutes to ensure you have the best surface preparation for the sealant to adhere. The only gotcha is to make sure you don't drag anything across the paint surface and mar it after all your other hard work.
