how to i know if i have logic 7 or HiFi stereo?

i know i have the premium stereo but not sure which one

i have a 2010 e92 13 speakers and i have the digital EQ in the menu.

If I remember correctly, hifi stereo should be logic7 on 2010 vehicles. There's the base stereo that definitely isn't 13 speakers, then there's the upgraded stereo (logic7).

In the eq, there should be an option to turn digital sound processing on or off.

yeah i have the sound processing thing in the stereo. I'm sure i don't have the base stereo, i'm just confused as to the difference between hifi and logic 7, and which one i have

i'm asking the question because, i'm interested in getting the BSW speaker upgrade, and they ask you wether you have base, hifi or logic 7.

I believe they're the same thing, as you only have 2 options for stereo in the 3 series. My sticker said Hi-Fi Stereo, but it was definitely Logic7.

well acording to BSW they're different, because it costs $110 to upgrade the logic 7 as oppposed to the hi fi.

for logic7 you should have a choice in Idrive that says turn on or off logic7, hifi is simply two speakers on the rear doors or rear panels (where the rear passengers arms would be)

That's odd. I just confirmed on BMW's website, and the only option for upgrading the stereo is the logic7 system for $875, so that would leave base or Logic7.

Ah, okay, I checked out bsw's site to see what you are talking about.

The speaker upgrades they have listed for the 3 series bundles the 3 together with the m3. The base is the standard system for the 3 series and the hi-fi is standard system for the m3, while the logic7 is the premium for the 3 series and individual is the premium for the m3. Your BSW upgrade would be $110 since you have the premium 3 series stereo. Hope that makes sense.

Easiest way is to look and see if you have a center speaker on the dash. If you do, you have Logic 7. If you don't, you don't.

Head is the same, amp is different. And L7 has three more speakers.

If you have 13 speakers and the EQ, you have L7.

but no i would have swore those were down firing subs, they are 8inches and both have wires plugged into the center just like a speaker would.

The grill is visible. Hifi is great if your looking to upgrade.

Lp fuel regulator and a lpfp lmao what after a while your lp fuel regulator "speaker" will crack and start leaking gas

As I understand the easiest way to tell is to just look at the tweeters up front. If you have grills marked with Harman Kardon then you have the Logic7.

The HiFi system is actually much easier to work with as far as aftermarket upgrades go. Great platform to start with and a ton of options out there.

don't know what individual audio is but its rare.
