Watch out for wheel/tire thieves - Bay Area
* I posted this one on M3Post.com, but thought that I should post here too
Scary.. Tonight, police officer knocked on my door and asking if I own a BMW M3, they recently caught wheel theieves and found a wanted list (those bastards are in jail now!!) Guess what, my HRE P43 was on their list too!! I've been told that they had a huge list for all over the bay, Guys, if you have aftermarket wheels on your M3, make sure you have wheel locks on it, and park secured place only! |

wow thanks for posting this... makes me wonder, what do you guys think of buying 5 different sets of wheel locks, and putting them on? will make it that much more difficult to steal rims...
Think it's a good idea?

Definitely will take 5x longer for the wheel thieves to steal your wheels, but also what if you had a flat tire and need to change on the side of the road, or need to do any brake works. Will be funny that you hand the dealership 5 sets of wheel lock keys...imagine the look on their face when you tell them / hand them the keys...

I'd really like to make my car as unattractive to a thief as I possibly can, short of putting flame throwers or electrifying the body, this may be the next step.

A kit that does that does exist...saw it on tv once. I would think it would just piss someone off and make them damage your car after getting the shit shocked out of them though
